Farsi language and literature tutor for children and adults

Saba has taught over 500 students in her 34 year career as a professor in the University of Shahid Beheshti. Now she is in Portland teaching Farsi conversation, reading and writing to those interested in Persian culture and language. Children are taught using revised and adapted textbooks used in Iranian schools, whereas adults are offered a one-to-one education service adapted to their needs and interests.
Saba’s Experience and Education:
-Diploma from Tehran’s “Ecole Jeanne d’Arc and lycee Razi” in Farsi and French
-BA, MA and Ph.D in social psychology (specialized in environmental and cross-cultural psychology) from Germany (Tuebingen Eberhald Karl Universitaet).
Work experience:
-More than 30 years of lecturing and research (University of Shahid Beheshti (Melli) Iran, Tehran).
-7 books published in Farsi and about 40 papers in Farsi and English published in scientific journals for psychological research.
Languages: Farsi, French, German and English.
Class Plan for children 7 to 13 years:
-First meeting: testing interests, motivations and the level of the student’s knowledge in Farsi (conversation, reading and writing).
-Teaching from revised and adapted text books used in Iranian schools (2007) for the first five grades.
-Teaching preferably in groups of three children in sessions of one hour.
-Each session will be subdivided as:
-10 minutes: warming up and integrating
-30 minutes will be spent for learning Farsi sounds, conversation, reading and writing dependent of the pupil’s readiness.
5 minutes: recreation.-
-15 minutes: role plays in Farsi, reading books, poems and singing.

Fees:
- $25 for each student in groups of three, $30 in groups of 2.
- Adults: Individual plans will be worked out for adults.
